Meet the Kangaroo
The Kangaroo are the tallest of all marsupials, standing over 6 feet tall. They live in Eastern Australia, and can be found in small groups called troops or herds, or "mobs" by Australians, made up of 50 or more individuals.
About the Kangaroo
Kangaroos have powerful hind legs, a long, strong tail, and small front legs. Because they have large feet, kangaroos can leap 30 feet in a single bound, and can travel more than 30 miles per hour. Kangaroos use their strong tails for balance while they jump. When threatened, fighting kangaroos may kick and sometimes bite their opponents.
