Zebras are African equines with distinctive black and white striped coats. Their stripes come in distinctive patterns and are unique to each individual zebra. A zebras dazzling stripes make them among the most recognizable animals.
About the Zebra
Zebras are primarily grazers and can live off of low-quality vegetation. They are typically preyed on by lions, hyenas, wild dogs, and cheetahs. Most often, they will retreat, but they may also bite and kick when threatened. During the dry season, zebras may travel in their familial units to wetter areas.
