Meet the Axis Deer

About the Axis Deer

Axis Deer are active throughout the day, and spend most of their time during the summer resting under shade. They forage in the late afternoon, and continue until midnight. They fall asleep a few hours before sunrise. Axis Deer typically move in a single file line, with a distance of 2 or 3x their width between them, when they’re on a journey in search of food or water sources.
